The desire for freedom and self-determination has its price: It costs the effort, the difference in the world who oppose us to constantly evaluate, and share that to us in terms. We must give them a meaning, because they naturally do not own.
What does it mean for me if it rains? Is it a burden, because I must keep an umbrella, although I'm already festooned with shopping bags? Or is it a pleasure, because I loved my romantic under one umbrella Sitting look at the Alster?
What do the sounds of children from the apartment next door to me? They disturb my well-earned rest after a busy day? Or they are soothing to me evidence that it is about Germany's future but not yet ordered that bad?
rain drought, noise: silence - these are just differences in humidity and air movement environment. Nothing more. Only through the perception of a certain moisture level or sound pressure, first by us as observers, they have a value in which we be-worth-en. The most
happens automatically and unconsciously ... but that may just happen consciously. And it should and must always then pass consciously, if we want to be free and open. For if we evaluate unconsciously and automatically place consciously and deliberately, then comes up is whether we ourselves are to assess because, that is, whether we look at the rating scale have been - or whether we have adopted a foreign rating scale, and so far only "cud" pre-judgments.
If we begin to explore the world as children and young people, we certainly do well to take on assessment standards of our environment first. We can make it from the condensed experience of our fellow human beings and ancestors. You can spare us some unpleasant experience. Automating assessments and adhere to the back free for more important things.
unconsciousness and automatisms are so obviously important in life. Even if we are condemned to judgments for us to decide, but can the "damn judgments" cease once, right? A world in which we always want to judge everything and just be aware in order not to leave any gap, beginning to slip through the lack of freedom might be, even unbearable. Neither for us nor for others. And they would not be feasible, because all decisions would run due to the pressure to consciousness much more slowly.
do For all the love for awareness and PQ we say on the other side well to Rate conscious not to overdo it. Here as elsewhere in life, it depends on the right measure.
However: the automation of assessments we should be already aware of. Not necessarily at the time of evaluation, for as the unconsciousness is so both in terms of the assessment as well as the observation of the evaluation, so to speak, the meta-evaluation, intended.
In times of peace we do then, however, well to reflect on our automatic ratings. Then we should think about it after.
If we go through a pedestrian area and hold out to us begging hands, we generally choose Automatically, something into it down or not. And that's totally ok. For while their shopping trip to evaluate every beggar must always remember this, the goal is not to be a philosophical attitude. Then it would really quick assessment of the freedom to be a blast judging the load, we would want to avoid.
While we will however take a break while shopping or at home or perhaps not until later in the holiday ... because we should be able to reflect on our subconscious decision. The seller of a homeless newspaper or donate clothes in the post box like us to the beggar-lined shopping and our unconscious judgments . Remember And then (!) We should be willing and able to consciously consider our standards of value behind our decisions to reconsider, revise, if necessary, and finally to accept as our own.
PQ can be so far may be regarded as intellectual rumination: If a deer is startled when grazing, then it sets the pleasurable chewing and escaping automatically. Only when it has found peace, it begins with the chewing of what it had taken before the flight itself. During the flight there was no time for it.
is similar to the awareness of our assessments. You need some rest to their subject from all sides to consider and finally, after considering the influence of the observed scales assign a value. In the hustle and bustle of everyday life but do not always have time, so many judgments first (!) Must be made automatically.
Maybe I should clarify why PQ so: Only conscious choices can be free and serve to self-determination. These conscious decisions must not be made necessary in the moment of observation - the rain falls, children's noises on the next room - can be prepared in advance but rest in more fundamental ways. More important than the conscious decision regarding an observation is therefore the conscious Choosing a scale that can then be applied at the time of observation quite automatically.
How far then measure and monitor decision decision apart, this can be very different. Maybe days, weeks, years, perhaps only seconds or minutes.
is important is the fundamental openness to reconsider standards even aware of and adapt. Think about this then most of all be an after-thought, because it is always first a scale from one (automatic) decision there. The sooner we may have been aware - or he is from deeper, unconscious automatisms created or we have taken him unconscious. When it comes
PQ so more of a thinking pre-and post-thinking than just about thinking. A Philsophische position distances itself from the ever-changing moment and looks at life in the overview that ranges from yesterday to tomorrow, as a whole.
